A Disney World Family Vacation Lasts A Lifetime

You might not believe it until you've experienced it, but a Disney World family vacation can become one of the long lasting all-time high points of a family's shared experiences. Disney World has so much to entertain and fascinate both adults and children that the entire family can enjoy the experience and remember it for a long time to come. For the full Disney World family vacation consider staying at one of Disney's themed hotels - especially if you have young children. Outstanding and friendly staff, great service and the uniqueness of a themed hotel offers a marvelous change from the ordinary. Among other perks, you'll also have unlimited use of the Disney transportation system.

Now comes the hard part. To take full advantage of your Disney vacation, you are going to have do some planning. Of course, if you can spend a full 2 to 3 weeks at Disney then you can be a little less stringent about your planning and still manage to see everything and explore some of the other attractions of the Orlando area. So much to do and so little time is the usual reality however. Use some of your time in the first few days to so some scouting around. Get there as early as possible to ride the main attractions and look around to see what all you want to do during your stay and which attractions you want to visit more than once.

You should have the Park Hopper option added to your base ticket so you can move between parks at your convenience. You'll probably want to visit the Magic Kingdom immediately. Make it early and do the major rides. The majority of the attractions are in the Magic Kingdom followed by Disney-MGM studios. Make sure you have park maps to plan out your future visits and mark places you want to return to. When the lines start getting long for the major attractions, check out the lesser ones - you may be surprised at what you discover. If you need a little relaxation, head over to EPCOT or Animal Kingdom. And remember to get to Animal Kingdom early for Expedition Everest which is brilliant example of a world class roller coaster with that special Disney touch.

After a couple of scouting expeditions over a couple of days, you'll have a good feel for the theme parks and what else you want to do and see in them. And, naturally, which attractions fall into the must do it again category for each family member. You should now be ready to plan out the rest of your Disney world family vacation. If the weather's right, don't forget to include some relaxation at the water parks. Oh, there's also Pleasure Island, DisneyQuest and the Wide World of Sports complex. And that's just Disney. The area has plenty of other attractions if you somehow manage to do everything you wanted to do at Disney and still have time.
